a couple of weeks ago a friend and myself drove up on the blue ridge parkway to enjoy the magnificence of the autumn foliage...while we were exploring i found another great lookout where you can view brown mountain...and if you're lucky, the brown mountain lights.......i've been fortunate on several occasions to see them and every time they have appeared in different ways...but undoubtedly there.......on this particular evening, however, it was very cloudy and foggy and we did'nt hang around a long time, so we did'nt see the lights.......

however, i was standing out on the overlook enjoying the view when a large owl swooped out of the trees.....*this was a delight for me since owls are one of my totem animals and it's so rare to actually see one in the wild.....meanwhile though, i hear my friend yell from the other side of the vehicle..'did you see that?'.........well, i had'nt seen it, of course, since i was so engrossed with the owl, but he swore he saw what appeared to be a ufo...unfortuantely, by the time i turned to look it had vanished behind the clouds......just for the hell of it, i took a photo of the clouds where he said it disappeared behind..........i thought the pic i took (and posted) was very odd indeed.......just a weird coincidence i know, but still.....................
